Disclosure of related parties’ transactions on the Society’s Web site

From time to time, the Society may incur disbursements to an organization in which a director of its board or a related party to a director may have an interest. In this case, the director declares a potential conflict of interest and refrains from participating in any related discussion or decision-making in order to avoid a conflict of interest.

For the fiscal year 2020/2021, from September 1, 2020, to August 31, 2021, the Cancer Research Society transacted with three organizations, each related to a different director of the board of directors. Payments to these organizations totalled $ 190,250. Services provided included one year of an operating grant and one year of a translational research grant, consulting services for Quebec pay equity report and investment custody fees.
