The Cyclades: playground of the gods, pride of its people

Located in the Aegean Sea, the unique group of islands known as the Cyclades were formed as a result of several successive volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Their panoramic landscapes offer entrancing hues of intense blue, enhanced by astounding daylight. Upon your visit, you'll quickly understand why ancient Greece thought that the Cyclades were the result of divine intervention, given the fact that each island is more magnificent than the last. The church domes and white houses contrast with the blue of the sky and sea. Few words can describe the dazzling scenery or the unrivaled beauty of the islands. Amateur photographers will click away to their heart's content, while hiking enthusiasts will be astounded by the many wonders. The Cyclades are an intrinsic part of Greece and its history. Greeks unabashedly demonstrate their pride when it comes to these islands. They are more than happy to welcome visitors to discover their heritage and culture. It also goes without saying that Greek cuisine has been a culinary staple well beyond its borders for a long time. Its dishes are simple and savoury with Mediterranean influences and always present fresh, flavour-filled offerings served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
